S3-Compatible Storage

Your storage, your rules

Choose where your photos live. Noodle Gallery supports any S3-compatible storage provider — from AWS and Cloudflare R2 to self-hosted MinIO. Switch providers anytime without moving your library.

Two serving modes give you flexibility: redirect mode sends browsers straight to your storage provider for maximum speed, while proxy mode routes through the server for tighter access control.

Run S3 alongside local disk storage for maximum flexibility. Keep recent photos on fast local storage and archive older media to cheaper cloud storage — or go all-in on S3 from day one.
